We love using our food saver vacuum. We purchase meat in bulk and freeze it in portions using the food vacuum. We also use it to seal prepared meals to freeze. We find it’s sometimes easier to stack plastic sealed bags as opposed to bulky plastic containers.

Recently we went on a fishing trip and were discussing the possibility of being able to vacuum seal our fish before returning home. We found a portable food vacuum sealer with great reviews that seems a perfect solution to our problem. This will mean we can fillet and vacuum seal our fish soon after the catch and then store them in our cooler. This will help reduce the smell within the cooler also.
